Who does the best reviews of performance/driving characteristics of actual affordable cars? I mean like, non performance econoboxes and such. Not just “Here’s the best performance cars for under $50k!” Lookin’ your way R&T.
Or just does indepth reviews of driving characteristics any type of car. I’m tired of just. “It handles good

But more car reviews would get in the way of shitposting!

He does the affordable part really well, but he rarely goes in depth into how the car actually handles. Only on the really weird ones.

Why would you want a performance review of a non-performance economy car? There are plenty of sporty, affordable economy cars out there.

I can’t put my finger on it, but this guy and his mechanic drive me nuts. I can’t watch his videos.

They’re not bad, but they’re few and far between and clog up the first page with non-shitposts.

And you want to have those dreams crushed?

Echoing what CRider said to a degree, most publications don’t bother writing in-depth about how normal economy cars perform as driver’s cars because there’s no point in writing something that only seven people want to read, and since nobody in the history of ever has said, “I must have sporty driving characteristics but the car itself must not be sporty or even a sporty version of a normal car!” they don’t bother.
I want to know who does the best off-road tests of mid-engined supercars. I’m still looking.

Definitely Savagegeese on youtube. His reviews are the best in the business. And he does affordable cars.

Autogefühl has the best and most in-depth reviews. Mostly Euro stuff though.

I’d have to echo SavageGeese as likely being the closest to what it sounds like you want. I get along well with the style/format/attitude, but not everyone will.
Another decent pick would be Alex on Autos. He leans more towards the straight objective/numeric info, but at least touches on all of the basic driving/performance characteristics and provides comparative info on other vehicles in the same segment.

Watch the newer ones, particularly the Guilia QV review. Trust me it won’t disappoint.
