Because the Miata only has four lugs. Five lugs are a status symbol of bourgeoisie opulence and oppression.

And convertibles aren’t?

That’s why the Miata died after it. People became fed up with the capitalist excess.

Convertibles increase the solidarity of the proletariat by not isolating them from each other.

Acceptable. As long as it contributes to the industrial or agricultural production of our glorious state.

Well... after a fashion I suppose.
I mean, it takes me to and from my job, which in turn allows for the continuation of certain construction projects. Other than that it’s strictly selfish uses

We’ll call it voluntary extracurricular labor.

I don’t know why but pics of the new yata’s don’t set my world on fire. When I see them in person I think they look great!

What about this?

More bourgeois, GT86 with 5 lugs and cloth, or Miata with 4 lugs and leather?

Seven spokes
Six lugs
ew
At least it’s not as bad as 5 lugs on six spokes... but only because it’s harder to tell.

How do you explain the hidden Bilstein dampers and brembos? Imposter!
![]() 06/26/2017 at 14:13 |

Count again. 7 lugs. Not 6, not 8. 7. Because “F150 7700" or “Heavy F150". if you ordered the snow plow package.

d’oh
I know Ford has done 6-on-7 before... so I saw seven spokes and made the leap...

monster miata is always the answer

I once had a car salesman in utter complete confidence tell me there never was a pontiac with 8 lug wheels. I am never very forceful when I know I am right. I just let them be wrong and hope sometime in the future they will realize my rightness and feel a tinge of shame.

Try 5-spokes and 8-lugs.
Because bling I guess.

Even with my significant Miata bias, I definitely would pick the 86/BRZ, cost and condition being equal. I just had a lot of fun with the one that I drove for a few days and it was just so much more practical without making any compromises. It needed more sound and more traction but so did my Miata when I bought it. Those are easily fixable things with the aftermarket!

Better stay away from generation NC.

I’m more open to that for a few reasons. One, 8 lugs form an almost continuous ring so it doesn’t look so stupid. Two, 5 spokes make for a very conventional-looking rim that doesn’t draw attention. I think it looks more boring than wrong. Three, there is an actual reason to have 8 lugs because it’s on an HD truck, but at the same time 8 spokes are kinda hard to pull off without looking bro’d out.
With all that said... still ew

Anything with less than 5 lugs doesn’t have the guts to be a drivers car

I mean, the idea that a complicated folding roof isn’t a symbol of oppression is........idk, but the fifth lugnut is not the problem here.

4 lugs, such a luxury.

Thats an easy fix. ‘Yotas are super moddable. Sometimes, when they feel like slumming it with the proles, they even mod themselves.
