You can tell how little care went into it. Look at the rear window, it’s obvious they built this over a convertible body.

Go to your room and think about what you just said.

I half-agree. Still looks better than a 991.

I rode in it once. It’s not terrible.

Needs to be a soft window Targa for optimal basket effect:
No 911 cabrio until MY 1983.

I don’t like 911 targas either. They are ugly.

Oh no, I have to... pay for gas? Is that it?

That’s not the most worrying thing considering this company couldn’t even figure out the proper end to put the engine at.

The original targas need the rear wing to not look weird. However, I think the new targas are gorgeous.

The rear window looks cool and gives sweet, sweet visibility.

I gotta say I agree with you on this. I think the Targa just looks wrong. I’d even rather have a convertible 911 than a Targa.

All 911's are ugly.

That’s not a blemish, it’s a beauty mark.

... It looks good to me. Building it over the convertible is the best place to start. Starting with the coupe would not leave enough structural integrity, and you would end up with three smaller than the coupes windows. The single big rear glass is very good looking.

Let’s say Phoenix, Arizona is liking the Porsche 911.

You’re the Atlantic ocean, you’ve gone too far.

Yeah, from an engineering standpoint, it’s not a bad decision. I wouldn’t mind owning it as long as I can afford someone to blindfold me before I leave the car.
It just looks hacked together imo

I think visually it was designed for the roof piece to not be in place. The eye connects the lines more nicely with the (very flat) roof removed.

Nope. Sexy AF.
and GOD how I want a Singer Targa.

If you’re going to make something a targa, make it one from the beginning.

Of course they built it over a convertible body, why wouldn’t they!? The wrap-around window is interesting and cool
