I really liked it. This particular example is a 2015 with 13,000 miles and was traded in on a Panamera if that tells you anything about he previous owner. I can’t afford it quite yet but if anyone is interested it’s located at Porsche of Nashville.
This was also waiting pickup. The color made me very, very happy.

Miami Blue Targa GTS with sport exhaust is like my perfect 991.2 (aside from a manual GT3 of course).

Those cars are a blast. I want to buy one new to support the further development of affordable sports cars, but buying a $30K car just seems completely irresponsible to me...

They can handle a bit of power too, just found out this weekend how much the chassis comes alive with a nice low boost turbo setup

It should take a few years more but yeah definitely. I mean you can already get salvaged ones under $15k easy. $10k for a 3rd owner, clean title car, around 75k miles, in a couple years from now; certainly sounds reasonable to me.

I would want to do a Turbo/Supercharger eventually but I’ve heard Turbo get heat and reliability problems.

I test drove one and i really didnt like it. Clutch feel was terrible and i hated the dead zone in the rpm’s. Ill stick with Miatas

The fa20 is not the same garbage as the EJ. Not many blown head-gaskets at all, ringlands are solid too

Working on that, heat extractors and oil cooling for the win
Spare hood, keying for paint in this photo, then install these

For someone who would really be learning to dd a manual I thought the clutch was great. Interstate passing abilitie would really take some learning though. I know the power is somewhere, I just have to find it.

Not to bad. It would be fun to have extra parts like that to switch out and customize it as wanted.

yea as a newbie clutch i see how its great but it lacks feeling IMO. Ive also driven many many different clutches so its easy to hate on some.

And the reason your engine builder doesn’t do Subaru stuff is probably because of how different they are to work on. I could totally see not wanting to deal with the hassle of splitting a block to do internals

I had a couple 2nd gen GSXs before the FR-S, and I totally understand. That motor spoiled me for cheap easy power :)

I test drove a BRZ and could not believe how slow it felt. It felt slower and less torque-y than my wheezy land rover

The trick is to get the revs high. I think it would only be a matter of time before I decided to put some FI on it though. Basically get better at driving Manual then add POOOWWER
