I always thought the Qashqai was already being sold in both the US and Canada as the Rogue Sport, apparently I was wrong.
Also, I don’t think it is pronounced cash-kai, more something like kash-kai.

The Rogue Sport name is exclusive to the US. According to Nissan, they thought Americans would have trouble pronouncing Qashqai. It will keep the original name in Canada as it seems.
Ps: it should be named Cash-cow because that’s what it will be

Ah I see, didn’t know that. As far as I know the whole world has problems pronouncing Qashqai, but the name has been around long enough here in Europe to get somewhat used to it.
