Looking after my nephew tonight my SIL made me some enchiladas, all I had to do was heat them in the microwave

I’m surprised it cooked the food to crisp, usually it’s only the plate that’s hot but the food stays ice cold.
Check the power setting, reduce it if you need longer blast. Should avoid that issue.

turns out when my SIL got home i should have put them in for about 45seconds to a minute tops

You’re supposed to nuke it for 2 minutes, not 20.
