Had the truck in for annual inspection. Expected it to fail !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

IT PASSED!!!!

Even these leaking old tires didn’t fail it.

Still going to put new ones on, but ended up being a heck of lot less money than I expected.

I had a 2001 yukon XL a few years back, I loved it. My mother called it “the limo,” it was all black which helped. I’ve always like that bodystyle, still do - and that green color is the best.

If I were to look for a Suburban again, I’d be looking for a nice example from that generation; the next gen looks nice, but has way too much electronic crap inside for a GM product that I’d be buying well used.

I love the thing. I got it just as a secondary vehicle to move stuff when needed,but ended up driving it more than intended because it is so nice.

Yet another reason why state inspections are stupid. Those tires definitely shouldn’t have passed. But good on you for choosing to replace them anyway.

I can’t believe those tires passed!? No emissions in MA but the local tech is hardcore about tire safety; she failed me for tires that were approaching the wear mark.

This was mine:

I had a CB antenna on it, too - these pics I took for the CL ad. I was over visting a friend once, who had... let’s say, a questionable hobby.... and someone came by for a visit and was all tweaked out by this thing being parked outside. He’s like, “uh, dude I’m pretty sure the cops are running surveillance on you right now” and I’m like, bro was there a moose place on it? Right, that’s mine. Also cops wouldn’t park a goddamn giant black suburban right in the driveway.
