An earlier post about One Hit Wonders got me listening to some of my own favorite forgotten songs.
While Red Rider isn’t explicitly a one hit wonder, and Tom Cochrane did have a solo career outside of the band (and a song that Rascal Flats covered and got way more famous for it than he ever did), I think it’s safe to say that this is their biggest hit.
Part of the reason I posted this was I’ve always loved the song. But man, this is a BAD music video. I had forgotten just how awful some of these videos were in the 80's.

You look at that and you wonder, just what was the director’s vision for this video. If this was it, then he should have never directed another video again.

I actually didn’t even watch it. I just wanted to post my favorite Big Audio Dynamite song. But I’ll have to pay attention to it next time!
