I have never really liked the F12. The design is not as good as the 599 or 550 and the sound of the is engine while good isn’t as excellent as a Zonda or LP640.

I would take any Zonda over an F12, but I don’t mind the F12. Also 550s are such good looking cars...

Me reading that:
The 550 Barchetta and 575 Superamerica are the only reasons I could try to make an argument in your case.

The design is much better than the 599.

I can appreciate your opinion. If I were rich I’d own a Zonda or One:1. In Ferrari I’m more old school, would want a P3 for vintage racing. and a 365GTB4 just because.

It’s a V12 Ferrari I can find a way to like it

Agreed, though the Touring version fixed all the problems I had with the styling.
As far as the exhaust note goes, not the best for a V12, but I prefer the sound to most V8 Ferraris at least.
Also the TDF version has grown on me, I think it achieved what the 599 GTO set out to do much better.
TL;DR: I wouldn’t have an F12 over a 599, 550, Zonda or LP640 either - but I would if it was Touring or TDF model. Especially the Touring, which is just beautiful imo.

The buttresses on the 599 never really worked for me and the face is a little too similar to the derpy 612.

It’s a one-off custom body by Superleggera.

I never warmed up to Ferrari’s googly-eyed era (612, 599), but the 599 GTO got the styling right by offsetting the headlights with enlarged lower air intakes.

I hate the 612. It’s round, the face is derpy, there’s a huge amount of wheel gap. It manages to be both unattractive and boring at the same time.
The 456 is the best modern 2+2 Ferrari, but I’d take a 412 or any of its direct predecessors before a 612.

The design company is Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, who also did the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante. They’re basically a rebirth of the original Carrozzeria Touring company (1926-1966), who also made a lot of cool one-off cars.
You can find them here (for the 1926-1966 cars):

…And here (for the new designs):

Also, the F12 Touring is not a one-off - instead 5 were made. Five’s a crowd right?

5 is definitely a crowd when it it comes to Ferraris. Thanks for the links!

Really? I definitely like the F12 more than the 599 just a bit. Especially in blue, there just isn’t a bad angle
The 599 GTO just looks so funny from the front
The 550 though I like because I is still a bit classic while still being a bit modern. The wheels are terrible, but I would only choose the F12 a small amount over the 550
Personally I would have the F12 as a DD and the 550 GTS as a track car
