So my girlfriend saw a convertible out the window at work today, and I’ve been trying to figure out what it is, here’s what we’ve got to work with. Not sure about the age, but seems to likely be from the 50s or 60s, but it’s hard to say. She’s only seen the trunk and the drivers side.
- Larger than a TR6, smaller than a Continental
- No badging on the trunk
- Small amount of chrome trim
- Red, similar red to a faded solo cup
- Small, rounded tailfins
- Single round taillights under the fins, same width as the base

Pretty sure it’s a lambo dude.

I’m going to say getting this may be a long shot, but I’ll throw out a wild ass guess.
1956 T-bird

A first-gen Thunderbird?
Edit: a third-gen?

My best guess. Although I’m not really sure what you mean by the taillight description.
Rear for reference (The badge could just be missing)

I suggested the first gen. I had considered the third but was worried the extra size might put it out of the running. As a side note I forgot just how big those tail lights were.

Ha, I thought Thunderbird too. Maybe first gen.

I also was thinking Thunderbird, but maybe a Falcon?

Early 60's Ford Falcon?

Neither of those apparently

‘Teas not that

Wasn’t that apparently

Taillights are too big apparently

‘doh I forgot about the round taillights, I did get that part lol.

I seem to remember Falcons are badged “FALCON” on the back. Badges could be shaved though.

Precisely. Anyways, I suggested that, and apparently the taillights are too big.

A Dart, maybe?

50s Chevy ‘vert? There were a few different taillight designs, including the ones you described.

Closer, but it had no trim on the trunk, nothing but a keyhole, and the tails weren’t in a bulge, and were plain

More rounded tail light, and no chrome trim around it. Apparently the trunk looks close though

I thought about a Nova that was missing the badging, but they don’t have round taillights. I’m stumped.

Yeah, me too. The owner lives nearby, has an old Civic wagon and a 2 Falcon vans too, I’ll swing by his place sometime soon and see what it is

Is the shape more of a two-seater sports car or a four seater traditional car?
![]() 06/08/2017 at 00:31 |

More like a less sporty car
![]() 06/08/2017 at 00:32 |

Ok. Anything even close to this, particularly in terms of overall size and shape?
![]() 06/08/2017 at 00:43 |

Close to that size, the fin is more integrated into the fender, and the trunk is more “rounded”

?
