This is the most beautiful state I’ve ever seen. The vineyards and valleys are a sight, I’ve never had such great fish and chips anywhere (east coast doesn’t compare anymore), there’s many GT86s here, and I’ve not seen much in the way of interesting cars yet but this 356 and Chevy are a start.

Oh, and the wine....THE WINE!! I could get used to this for a living. Being an engineering intern rocks! This is the life here. Better than Michigan.

As the saying goes, “California is great except for all the Californians” :D

It’s an amazing place to visit, but if you ever have to do something like “commute to work” or “pay taxes,” the allure can fade quickly. For people who haven’t been there, it’s like America’s worst-kept secret and 40 million people already beat you to it.

Half the time I just want to move to the Eastern Sierras and party like it’s 1849.

I live in Michigan too lol. I needed this vacation from there so I’m sure I’ll be more than happy to be back when the time comes. But the roads and weather, but the roads especially are sooo much better.

I admit that I am jealous of both at times. I’m worried that if I visit, I’ll want to move. But damn, the housing prices in desirable areas are off the charts.

You need to try some Pho and that weird tea with the jelly balls.

“Pho is high on the list of commonly mispronounced words. I lived in CA for 14 years, I like it in many ways but with 34 million people it got a bit overwhelming.
