But it also passes basically everything else on VIR. This V8 Exocet is BONKERS.
Warning: Audio is mostly wind noise.

It’s like shooting fish in a barrel, only the barrel is an 8 oz glass of water and the gun is actually a rocket-propelled grenade launcher.

I wonder how much work it would take to wrap a 2005 beater Camry shell around this to troll the BMW/Porsche car clubs on track days

I’ve talked with Exocet about the the LS2 I have in my garage and doing something like this. Their response was “No problem”. I’m not sure if that is the best way to have a long life. Their shop is about 10 minutes from my office, but I have not been brave enough to go over there yet. Looks like fun!

Same...I have an LS2 sitting in a broken car outside...Contemplated the Exocet, but now leaning towards the Brunton Stalker (Lotus 7-clone) http://stalkercars.com/

The Stalker kits are a fair bit more expensive than an Exocet if you keep the Miata drivetrain. Although maybe not if you’re considering an LS Exocet.

I have a donor car for the LS2 parts on hand already, so that helps with the cost. Engine, trans, ECU/PCM, fuel system, some dash components, and more all slated to come from my donor 05 GTO.

Nice. Yeah that should help. For the Exocet, I think you still need to add in a miata LS conversion kit (unless Exocet has their own mod) which are a pretty penny.
