Took some glamour shots of the STi:

Sorry about the lowered windows. I had to replace the hiking funk with fresh mountain air.

This place is on my must visit list of cross country trip from NJ to CA in my near future. Is it worth hiking around there or do I get adequate views just from driving to the top? I could probably spare a half day to hiking if its worth it. This place looks awesome from what I have seen!

The shadows in the first pic make my OCD twitch so I tried my best to recover some detail from them.

I was trying to weed out you OCD-types with the half-opened window. I would have preferred better lighting at the scene, but this level of shadow recovery is not to my taste.

Depends on what you’re looking for. There are some awesome rainforest hikes in the park that you can’t really experience as well by car. I’d do one of those combined with some drives with the “big sky” style viewpoints for variety.

It’s a bit heavy handed but hey that’s what you get with messing with a JPEG in Snapseed on my phone. And...I may have overdone it. ;)

There is a relatively short but spectacular hike that starts right there.

Sweet, I will definitely look to check those out then. I have a couple days planned in Washington and the more I read about the area, the more I would like to spend the whole time hiking rather than bothering with any time in Seattle or something. Just so much to do with nature there!

One day in Seattle would be sufficient to hit the big tourist spots, depending on what you’re into. I doubt you have time for all of these, but you should include North Cascades NP, Mount Rainier, and Mount St Helens in your research. Olympic NP and  Mt St Helens are probably the most unique, if not the prettiest on an absolute scale. Good luck on your trip, it sounds fun.
