I went out for breakfast today because I wanted eggs benedict. Instead, I got a special suggested by the waitress was like eggs benedict, but instead of being put on an English muffin it was actually put on a grilled cheese sandwich which had pulled pork in it (I suppose it’d be a “melt” for the pedants out there) along with some avocado and a chipotle hollandaise. Of course it came with a side of ass fattener home fries. There was also a small fruit bowl to give some semblance of health to the meal.
It was dangerously good but I need to go back to bed now. Waking up early to watch the Monaco GP qualifying didn’t help and the coffee is not effective against that gargantuan breakfast.
Next time, I think I’ll stick with a classic eggs benedict.

Finding a good eggs benedict is so hard these days. I have a few go-to places, but when traveling it’s always a crap shoot.

The itis and spiked coffee are how saturdays SHOULD start.

Bruh fake eggs Benedict + pork + avocado + chipotle hollandaise??? Recipe for disaster, something one should eat only at home.

I would never put in that much effort for a homemade breakfast. If I can be bothered to make breakfast at all, it’s usually a much simpler bacon and eggs. I may add some tomato slices if I have some good tomatoes.

Yeah it’s a gamble. The diner close to me does a decent job of it. I’d never order this again just because it’s just too much for breakfast.

Nah I mean you take it home and eat it while sitting on the toilet.

Funny you mention that; let’s just say that the need came suddenly, but evacuation was swift and painless.

Technically, the only thing that should be considered a “melt” are your arteries.
Then again, there are worse (and less delicious) ways to go!
