Group therapy. lol
I guess I need to add a 1911 & AR to my cabinet. It seems like the thing to do.
I shot my cousins Remington 1911 version .45 and liked it. My FIL just picked up a Springfield Armory 1911 9mm & my MIL a Kimber Micro 9.

AR15S are pretty ubiquitous at this point, I actually have two. Probably the best semi auto on the market. My 1911 is a Para Ordnance, which doesn’t really exist anymore.

I smell like gun powder now, smells like freedom.

I have a mini-14 which shoots the .223 and I really don’t need a AR. I do need a 1911 and a good .22LR pistol (in laws have a 2 barrel Phoenix Arms .22 and it jams all the time with short barrel)
Same 1911 cousin has a buckmark .22 and BIL has a Walter P22 and I liked both. Just hard to buy a 22 when you can get a 9mm or more for a few hundred more.

That makes sense, unless you’re doing 2 or 3 gun matches. I always have a hard time justifying a 22 over a center fire cartridge.

A local gun shop has been advertising S&W sport ARs for under $600

A .223 AR would match my mini-14, and be nice to have as it doesn’t kick as much as the 30-06 hunting rifles we use. I may just talk to my 1911/buckmark cousin as he just built a lefty AR and “give” it to my wife. Then we keep .223 and I get to build one and be in that “click”

I think I’d have to build it. A coworker and my cousin keep talking about each individual piece they used and what company they went with for what part of the gun. It’s most likely like building and preping a race or auto-x car for what you want it for and the reasearch you need to put into it.
Coworker brought 3 AR versions last time and I could barely tell the difference. All custom.

Good luck with that research. Like everything else on the internet, for every 10 people that like something, there’s 15 more that will tell you you’re an idiot and should kill yourself for being so stupid.
Also, parts get expensive fast. I looked into some aftermarket stuff for 10/22s and the upgrades cost almost as much or more than a 10/22. So yeah, a lot like a car

What’s the thing next to the 1911?

You can’t be tactical without an AR bro. Is the lefty AR built off a Stag?
