Friend of mine hired a handyman off Craigslist to do some pretty extensive drywall work and replace an old porch with a two story deck. Surprisingly, the quality of work left something to be desired. Don’t cheap out on contractors Oppo. Fixing mistakes is always pricier than doing it right the first time.

I feel like 95% of chandeliers are ugly, outdated and entirely unnecessary with all the other available lighting solutions nowadays... This is awkward.

But that 5% tho

Tomorrow, what time is most inconvenient for you? Oh and don’t mind my pitbull, he’s super friendly as long as you avoid eye contact and keep your voice at a whisper.

Fair warning, you better have a plumber on speed dial after I’m done in there, if you know what I mean

I’ll be at work between the hours of 7am and 7pm, but I’ll leave the key under the doormat, because nobody will ever look there!

Please mind, I have a very large, expensive TV just inside the front door, still in the box, waiting to be installed. Please take care not to knock it over into my very fragile cabinet of rare and expensive baseball cards.

I’ve known a couple dogs that you can’t look at directly and I knew one dog that was afraid of men (not aggressive fear but run and hide fear) so I had to talk in a high pitched voice. I don’t know why it was ok with me with high pitched voice when it’s normally afraid of men on sight. It was strange

I once had a contractor leave the plate off of a relocated light switch. I didn’t think it was a big deal so I bought a replacement plate for all of 19 cents and installed it myself. That’s when I discovered why he left the plate off - he cut the opening too big and didn’t want to fix it properly. Thankfully they make oversized plates for just this situation, but really, it shouldn’t have been necessary if the guy was halfway competent...

Only an idiot would let the contractor leave after seeing this.
