Haha I thought someone might mention that. I snapped this about a mile after bumper-to-bumper traffic from a merge finally started flowing. He was about 5 cars ahead in the logjam so I couldn’t get close enough for a phone photo until we got to a section of freeway that actually moves.

I love that Rudy’s. I love that they have the pit right there. You open your windows and you can smell the pit from 151. The brisket is whatever but the turkey is awesome.

I don’t know if you ever get over to the East side, but there’s a place over there on WW White south of Rigsby called 2M Smokehouse that is seriously amazing. A guy I used to work with quit to help his buddy start it and I had my doubts, but once I tried it I understood why he was willing to quit his steady job to give it a go. Not only is the meat awesome, but the sides too. They have this home-made mac and cheese with chicarron on it. Holy shit. Just get some of that and some brisket and a soda and sure its a day’s worth of calories for lunch but it’s worth it.

hadnt heard of 2m, but i know of the general area youre talking about. my grandmother used to live down there. i might have to make a run down there the next time when i have to drop off parts at the machine shop......
