After two years of dealing with my 720p laptop screen and 2004 4:3 monitor I got two 24 inch 1080p AOC “borderless” displays off craigslist for $100 total. Im excited. I can watch TV and read email. Will be really helpful once school works again, I’ll actually be able to see all the tools in Rhino!
I have a Dell dock on the way too so I don’t have to unplug everything when I go mobile.

OMG. These AOCs are the best (quality and price) monitors that I’ve seen on campus. My friends combined have like 6 of these monitors and they love them.

I’m working my way through all of them, but a new episode came out last night so try and keep up with new ones as they come out.
Old ones are definitely better.

I feel like 24" is a compromise compared to 27". Then again I only paid $100. Someday I’ll have 27s.

I see you’ve also got a dell Precision and a Ford ranger. Respect! I’m going to assume that you did not pay the astronomical amount that it cost new for that precision.

some new ones are ok. I need to start watching them, and American Dad... and Archer.... and Big Bang Theory.... and many other things lol

I did buy it refurbished, but a year after it came out. So I paid more for it than my Ranger.
They have depreciated a lot. Considering picking up a duplicate as a spare.

Mine is my work PC which I bought for one of the higher ups at work. It was $3800! new. He didn’t like it because it was so big, and ditched it last year for a Surface Pro 4 hah. So I sniped it when I set him up with the surface.

I also have a Surface Pro 2 that I bought used after the 4800 was too heavy. I didn’t pay anywhere near that, but more than what they’re going for now. A Surfacebook would be a great combo, but wasn’t around (or affordable) when I was buying a computer. I also like the 4800 because it’s very expandable, it should stay relevant for at least the next 3 years.
