Over the weekend I drove down to Southeastern PA for a Tough Mudder run and part of my drive took me around State College PA. I re-discovered one of my favorite stretches of road along that trip, RT 144 near Bellefonte. It is a nice snaking hill climb one way and the way back it is down hill. I really enjoyed it in my Mazda 3.
RF For your time.

I’m close to Harrisburg. I’m trying to remember if I’ve ever driven the route you mentioned.

If you haven’t you should. It’s a cutoff between the 80 and 322.

I used to live 45 minutes from there and went to college at Bucknell University. My options to get there were either 322-80-15, 322-45 or 322-144-192. I only took the 80 route if I was in an extreme hurry, but loved the other two. Those were some fun roads (even in my 1994 Caprice w/ LT1)

My grandmother actually lived in Happy Valley until recently! Unfortunately I don’t think I’m familiar with that stretch of road.

Hmm I will have to check this out in July. I am heading out to Mid state airport for a weekend of autocross. I recall seeing I pass through State College on the way there from NJ so I should be able to find this.
