Kinja'd!!!

Trunk was loaded down and we had the A/C going, too. Did half the trip on the interstate at 75 and half on the state highway at 65. 110 miles total.

Also, this was my previously waterlogged backup light after two days of rain in Louisville (where we were staying).

I guess this is tolerable. :/ The other lights did it too. Just slightly less. It dried up quickly.

I also had my bumper guard installed! This will avoid future scratches from loading/unloading the baby’s stroller.

My Mazda had the same tail light condensation after a heavy rain. It dries up, but I had the seals replaced because I don’t want streaks left behind.

I want that done as well. But the dealer says they can’t do anything because by the time I get the car to them (they always say they’re too busy for me to come when the water is still present), it’s dried up and they can’t prove that there’s anything wrong.

I emailed Mazda USA about it. They are usually good about responding.

I just got 90.3 miles out of a 1.058 gallon fill up.

A/C wasn’t on but I was FOR SURE not overheating on the scoot.

I think this is where the problem with spotty service in the Mazda network shows up. My dealer is pretty good, and would probably just replace it on my word. My Dad’s is pretty crappy and would probably pull the “can’t prove it” garbage like yours is. I’m sorry you have to deal with it.

I had several photos of it to show them but they had to have it actually doing that at the time I brought it there. So annoying.

My wife is sitting here and says she would just show up unannounced and have them observe it, whether or not they have time to fix it.

I would do that if they weren’t 45 miles away and I didn’t have to take time off work to go there.

It’s just an all around annoying situation. There’s a Ford/Lincoln/Mazda dealer directly down the street from my work but they know NOTHING about Mazdas (they don’t even keep parts in stock - any parts at all) and they have a horrible reputation. So I have to go to the dealer an hour away just to get somewhat reliable service.
