As I said in my earlier post (link below) I’m learning to ride a motorbike and sorting out protective gear. First up gloves. Found these decent leather ones with carbon fibre guards for a good price. They fit very well and seem to have a lot of wrist support. I have a couple weeks before I start my training so I’m just going to keep an eye on good deals popping up on quality stuff.

Nice. What i did is i didnt go crazy buying expensive gear then i graduated to more of the expensive stuff. I love Dainese and that shits expensive but their stuff is really nice.

These were about as cheap as I would go, £18 for protective gloves is pretty good. As you say, I’ll start with cheap but decent quality gear then upgrade when/ if I move to bigger bikes.

It’s really not about what you are riding. Falling off a scooter and falling off a Hayabusa at 40mph will fuck you up equally. I’m all for finding deals but I do stick with well known and reputable brands. In my experience of about 5 years riding, the nicer gear has really outlasted cheap stuff I bought, and is far more comfortable. Best of luck in your riding venture!

Well it’s not like I’m being daft and buying the super cheap textile stuff with foam pads off ebay haha. These seem to be pretty robust and if they end up wearing out I can always replace them in future.
