I think the math works out... now what’s stopping them?!

production? They are already building as many as they can sell...well...were. I don’t know how the sales slumps are hitting the Canyorado yet.

I think I may have brought this up before
;)

I see the problem. That’s a GMC. Should’ve used the Canyon to balance your chemical reaction.

Regardless of motor, they haven’t done a sport truck package for this Colorado like they did with the last gen. Wonder if one is in the works or if the fad has passed

Sorta.
The old Syclone would still have a better power to weight ratio.
284bhp/1610kg*1000 = 176
420bhp/2500kg*1000 = 168
So, either give it more power, or add lightness. Ideally, add lightness.

Except the Canyon doesn’t weigh anything close to that much. The 2WD is 1905kg and the 4WD (which a Syclone variant should be) is 2041kg. 420bhp/2041kg*1000=~206. And that would be for the heaviest version, a Crew Cab 6'2" box. For the one your picture shows (Ext Cab 6'2" box, which is also closer in spirit to the Syclone) that would be 1860kg for a 4WD. 420/1860*1000=~226.

Yep, I used the wrong site for the weight of the new pickup truck, my bad.
Still would prefer a lighter car with less power though.

I’d prefer lighter with more power, but that’s just me :)

Now that’s the best option.

Down about 5% so far this year. But the fullsize vans which have to fight for production capacity in the same factory are up 20%, so I think that might have something to do with it.

why piss about with a V6TT when you can fit an LS3 or LSA in the same spot?

Because.. thats just too easy.
