Hmm.....I tried testing the fuel pump connection points for 12v. If it got that then that would mean it was a dead pump. I haven’t tested it yet, but as much as the engineer in me says do it to cover all bases, from the way it looks I really just wanna replace it.

Does it prime with a key-on? Fuel system have a test port?

Replace it. I had to order a filter yesterday for my NB, as it started ejecting fuel everywhere when the car was running.
It looks similar.

If finances allow, I’d swap it out. Last thing you want is to be stuck on the side of the road because of a failed fuel pump when you already had the thing in your hand and knew it was suspect.

I recommend doing pump and filter together. Be sure to clean out the gas tank while you’re at it or else that new filter will be moot pretty quickly!

I’m just trying to get it running not driving.

Nope. That’s why I’m checking the voltage and such. But the connections might be so bad that it might not get voltage at all. Who knows.

Hell the clamp for the pump looks the same. What’s the out of?

The filter has been already changed.

I know no one likes to spend money when they don’t need to, but really, what could it hurt to replace it? It can’t be long for this world anyway, I would say get a new one (if finances allow) and check one more thing off your potential list of reasons it doesn’t start.

My jag is exactly the same. Except everything is inclosed in the trunk.

If ground is good and it has power supplied than its the pump. You could check the resistance of the ground.

that needs a good scrubbing, with sandpaper to clean off the terminals. learned that the hard way. always clean off the terminals.
Post all the fuel pumps!
