The movie Grease was on earlier. I noticed that Firestone tires were very advertised all throughout. First time I noticed it after watching the movie hundreds of times. Kinda interesting, even though I saw no puff in the movie.

I showed a bunch of kids that I mentor for FIRST Robotics the “End of the World” flash animation back in January for the first time ever. A totally new generation that never grew up with shit like that before even YT existed.

They couldn’t stop laughing at it, which shows me that it has aged like fine wine.

I miss FIRST, but I don’t miss the 1 or 2 teams that absolutely destroyed everyone in our division. Looking back now I can appreciate just how well engineered it was as a package every year.
