I found this 74 short wheel base Econoline and I love it. It’s so blue, and it’s Manual too. So rad.

First year of the modern gen truck frame setup, so it’ll haul - still stubby enough to look right with the older style nose, and the short wheelbase. Epic.

My thoughts exactly, I think it’s new enough to have front disc brakes too.

I have fond memories of our 1970 E-100 with the same drive train, but with barn doors on the side. It was originally school bus orange, but was repainted yellow before my parents sold it in 84. I remember how fancy and improved the 84 E-150 that replaced it seemed. The 84 had a 300 c.i. six and 4 speed manual with overdrive! It still only had a single speaker AM radio and no A.C. I inherited the second van in 94 and sold it for $800 in 98. I always said I would get another van someday, but with a nice new full-size crew cab pickup in my driveway, it doesn’t make much sense anymore. I’m a 1,000 miles from this one, but if it had a 302 and less rust, I would be very tempted.
