As impressive as Stenhouse’s manhandling was of Cryle Busch (Who says Dega isn’t a ‘real track’), I think the move of the race honestly was Jamie Mac’s(the 1 car) parting of the sea and strutting right on through.

Dammit, I’m feeling like I’m getting back into Nascar I think; granted I always have enjoyed Dega’s races regardless.

Please send me some Le Mans racing moves or someTHING.

IMSA racing is so much more captivating to me than NASCAR.

I agree. I think the issue for me is not having cable/access to viewing IMSA races, thus I’m taking any kinda motorsport I can get with maybe, 8 channels? haha

I hear you there. I was only able to watch it when I’m visiting my parents.

I thought the whole race was quite exciting. McMurray gets in trouble often on the restrictor plate tracks because he’s so aggressive (like when he puts his teammate in the wall early in the race) but that move was fantastic.

Say what you will about NASCAR and it’s terrible management of the sport, but the on-track product is as good as it has been in a long time.

The complaints about a lack of wrecking amuses me, I find the teetering-on-disaster more edge of your seat and exciting instead of: wreck, yellow, restart, wreck again, repeat.

I am so enamored by the way it floats...

Woah I didn’t pay close enough attention and didn’t notice that. I remember Jeff Gordon saying coming off the banks and onto the straights causes like a stirring of air or somethin due to the cars not being aerodynamically/spring-adjusted properly for a track like Talladega. But damn, it floats, it really friggin floats!

You can actually see in the slowmo how the hit from Joey Logano coupled with the splitter and the radiator collapsing shot Chase’s car into the air.

How Chases car pirouetted around mid-air? I have no idea, aerial magic....

Oh no, I can feel...I can feel my OCD wanting to zoom in and look at this frame.by.frame.

WELP.

Who is complaining? I think any real fan of NASCAR agrees wit you and wants to see close, hard racing and not wrecks.

Normally I would agree, but this weekend, I’d say that NASCAR was much more interesting than IMSA. WEC still outdid them both though.

That was 90% of the racing I did playing NASCAR back in the day. Cause huge accident, and break it down frame by frame, car by car.
