Is this a “fixed” TDI from a dealer, or a used car someone decided on keeping?

This one is a “fixed” one that they did not sell in 2015. So it got sold as a new car, to me its just two years old already

I think that would be an ideal car for me, although I’d gravitate more toward a Golf hatchback, but a wagon would be very useful as well. Can I ask if they gave you a good deal on an older, new car? My boss had a TDI Audi A3, which he just traded in a couple of months ago. He went the opposite end of the spectrum, and picked up a ‘15 Caddy CTS 2.0 turbo.

Yeah I got an excellent deal because of the whole TDI scandal. And I had a TDI before the car I traded in. Plus I got 72 MO 0% as part of the deal so I am really happy. I looked at golf hatch backs but they just don’t have enough room for me

My buddy just purchased a ‘15 Golf TDI hatch. It has the “fix.” Apparently, emissions hard components will be warrantied up to 162,000 miles. He took the $5K USD rebate with the 72 month @ 0% interest loan. With the down payment he put down, his payments are around $130 a month.

Yeah I did basically the exact same thing except the down payment for me was the equity I still had in my Passat. IT was a great deal

i am somewhat interested in this

how does this emission warranty works ? does it mean the engine is actually warranty to 160k miles ?

Not the engine itself, but from what I understand basically any emissions components. I’ll ask for clarification.

This makes me wanna convince him to go to a tuner and get a “roll coal” tune.

162,000 on emissions and EVAP components. Standard warranty on all other parts. I wanna say it was 10 years.
