I am in Abilene (TX) this weekend for a symphony concert, and I went to McDonald’s this morning to get a cup of coffee and was surprised to see a Ford Trimotor putt-putting through the sky. That’s always a good sign of an air show, and sure enough, the Big Country Air Fest was taking place today at the local airport. I’ll have more pictures later tonight after the concert. But for now, here’s a North American T-28 Trojan, along with the aforementioned Trimotor.

Fun Fact: American is replacing the E-jets that service Abilene with Tri-Motors.

Embraers, actually. American has a service facility at Abilene, and they had one of their factory-fresh 175s on display. Good looking jet.

Is an Embraer not an E-jet?
have I been telling lies for all these years? ._.
