The front of that truck does not compute...

‘58/’59 Chevy truck refitted for single headlights (from a ‘57?) and a custom grill - very low-key, very elegant.

I want one of those W1?? S classes REAL bad. Fortunately I think they will be cheap for a very long time, unlike everything else I like from this era.

Is this in Phoenix? If so, there is also a sweet Chartreuse 2002 around the corner from that Corvair wagon. There’s another black ‘50s Chevy down the street as well. My brother lives in that neighborhood (assuming this is where I think it is). There used to be a guy with a mint Bel Air, but he moved.

Best I can tell, a ‘58/’59 Chevy with the headlight surrounds/backing plates replaced with those from a ‘57 or some similar hack. It’s a custom, but very mild. Not sure what had to be cut or moved around to make that happen.

Is this all in your neighborhood? I’d kill to have that sort of variety/not beige vehicles around. California?

To compare I know only of 2 interesting vehicles in my neighborhood. One guy has an ‘70s or ‘80s C10 another has a ‘60s Camaro. That’s it outside of my own garage. Everyone else has a Camry/F150/Odyssey/etc less than 15 years old

In the rear, there is a raised floor in the back

There’s a shop not far from this spot where someone runs what must be a longtime Mercedes shop. All manner of body styles sitting around on the block. Quite a sight!

Yep. Coronado neighborhood. The car variety goes nicely with houses from the 1920's.

Downtown Phoenix, in the Coronado neighborhood. Rust is outlawed by nature here.

Yea, the rust belt kind of sucks. I fully intend on purchasing my next vehicle in Arizona or California

You know, the Corvair knew how to wear that un-grilled font-end. All of the Tesla’s look like the designers just quit before they were done. Similar story for the 911, which solves the no-grill dilemma with a handsome and sporty taper.

Yep. That neighborhood is funny since old houses became trendy. My step grandma has had a house right off Virginia since the ‘80s. It was a very sketchy neighborhood up until a few years ago. My SIL did just have someone pop off three rounds in front her house a few weeks ago though. Great car neighborhood and you’ve got Sunshine Market for dirt cheap alcohol.

Yeah, EVs will eventually “learn” their own style instead of having fake grilles (Tesla) and non-functional shields (everyone else).

Eek on the gunfire. Cognitive dissonance on my part will chalk that up to backfires from one of these fine cars. Also, Sunshine Market is great. Always prefer the little local guy to the admittedly few bigger box stores. Yes, the hipster is contagious, it appears.

About that 2002: that thing is beyond sweet. I also happen to know of a 2002 in a backyard nearby. Needs some serious restoration, but apparently they flocked to the area at some point in the past.
