Something about the phrase “sending your kids to Tae Kwon Do so you can have sex” has ruined sex for me forever. I’m not even married, and I don’t have any children who have been able to track me down, but it’s still ruined sex for me. Not to shame you Oppo parents or anything, but ew.

As a parent ... the struggle is real. I’d also advise against actually reading that article.

Yup, I agree.

We just stay up late and night and drink a lot. It’s pretty much the same thing single people do, but it’s a sure thing.

I think I see that tailgate over 100x a day. I’m tempted to compete with Uber using nothing but the unused space in large vans and SUVs while the kids are at school. Like a Mexican “colectivo” or something. Two bucks, anywhere you want to go, as long as it’s the grocery store or park.

That’s bad, but it’s far from the worst thing in that article. CalzoneGolem is right - unless you’re already married with kids *AND* your relationship is rooted in all of the traditional gender stereotypes, it’s a terrible read.

100% sexist drivel - but it’s “ok” because it’s calling men lazy clueless idiots and not women.

Only when you have children will you fully understand. The trick is finding a time when you are both alone AND awake.

The much harder struggle for me is finding time to mow the lawn, wax the car, etc. The entire concept of multi-hour projects went away as soon as our first kid turned 1. Now all of life is made up of 10-20 minutes of tasks at a time.

Now that my boys are older and all at school, I have plenty of time for those sorts of tasks, but I spend most of my time writing about airplanes.

This is sooo true. Now, it seems like any project over 20 minutes requires a week of planning our schedules out so one of us can actually complete the project.

I have to get up at 6am on Saturday to do something like “change the oil” now. At least with my son being 6, he can get a little more involved, but still tends to wander away at the most crucial (or dirty) parts of any job.
