The only bad thing I have to say about Wisconsin is the people talk funny as you get closer to Minnesota.

Oh yeah, there’s the Packers too, you never have to ask if someone likes the Packers, they’ll have told you the entire team history and how proud they are to be people-owned within the first three minutes of meeting them.

Having lived in Wisconsin for all but 8 years of my life, you are right about the language. I grew up in the northwoods, and knew more than a few who had a “Yooper” accent.

Grew up in Minnesota, went to college in WI. Now I’m out west.

Minnesotans and Wisconsins have a sort of healthy rivalry and mutual respect. And in particular, lots of my west Wisconsin friends just liked MN, particularly those who were into hockey.

Wisconsins just hammer on Illinois people. FIB/FIBWAB, etc...
