No posting Jukes when you are in a Juke.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

In case of Kinja:

...in all seriousness, this thing is silly. Who still puts their phone in the armrest?

But if someone’s phone is in the armrest, it’s not an issue. It’s when it’s in the hand that it’s a problem.

Yeah which is why this is silly... I don’t remember the last time seeing anyone putting their phone in the glovebox or armrest. It’s either holding on to it and pounding away or clipped to a holder.

Or, in my case, in my pocket or the armrest.

Something something I’m a man, I don’t need directions.

I think their idea is that you can willingly choose to put your phone in the console as a choice to disconnect while driving - because putting your phone in airplane mode and not pulling it out would be haaaarddd, apparently.

Or just not answering it. Or putting it on silent. It’s not the best way to solve the problem.

It’s dramatic in the same way as having a timed safe for one’s tobacco or something - dramatic might help some addictive personality people but it’s mostly just silly.

Did Nissan forget that tons of people stream music from their phones?

The problem isn’t just people using phones while driving. The problem is too many idiots on the road - most of them happen to be using a phone while they drive but even if they stopped it wouldn’t make them any less of idiots.
