Finally collected my new car today after work and had a nice drive back home in it, a lot of looks and comments came my way with the highlight of it being called ‘sexy car’ by some girls (possible teenagers maybe little older, was more focused on the road ahead)
A more in depth review shall come at some point in the future... watch this space > <

will do, even just a gentle drive back (stupid commuter traffic) was enjoyable

Well, I knew this day would come - so here goes...; I am jealous of your Vauxhal l.
Can’t believe those words actually came out.

I can’t believe I own a Vauxhall

Have fun! That looks like an awesome ride!

I am as disgusted as I am proud of you. I’m so confused.
![]() 05/02/2017 at 15:54 |

it’s certainly going to take some getting used to when pushing on but as a typical gentle drive it’s not too bad, the ride isn’t as harsh as you would expect

the 6.2 na bolts right in ... you know

I’m currently resisting the urge to whack on the m62 supercharger

Its gorgeous. Also I fee like such a noob for thinking this and the Saturn Sky were the same car.

will do, I’ll steal the Jalop review template and knock something up in a month or so once I’ve had enough time with it

easy mistake to make, the windscreen trim looks identical

2.2 n/a
![]() 05/02/2017 at 16:27 |

No it doesn’t. It’s an Elise, not a Sky.

Gonna have to deduct some cool points...
That’ll bring it to: 9.9/10 would drive.
![]() 05/02/2017 at 16:29 |
|
haha, the 2.2 is the better engine though :)
![]() 05/02/2017 at 16:31 |
|
Awesome! For some reason it looks way bigger than an Elise.
![]() 05/02/2017 at 16:34 |

Nice!
![]() 05/02/2017 at 16:35 |

I’ll try and get a comparison pic on friday as I know someone with an S2 elise
![]() 05/02/2017 at 16:57 |
|
Yeah it’s clear where the Sky’s design came from.
![]() 05/02/2017 at 17:09 |

So much cooler than the Solstice/Sky twins. Built on the same line as the Elise.
![]() 05/02/2017 at 17:31 |
|
it sure was, Vauxhall/GM helped Lotus out financially for the S2 and got the VX in return
![]() 05/02/2017 at 18:33 |
|
GM does have transverse V8's, though...
![]() 05/02/2017 at 18:39 |
|
But not a 6.2 that bolts right in. Or one that bolts right in for that matter.
![]() 05/02/2017 at 18:53 |
|
Obviously, for sure. But with some work, anything can have a V8...
