This is the most click-baity title this article could have used. The car is crazy expensive to begin with! Depreciation happens as a percentage! The car actually depreciated at a similar (or lower!) percentage rate as most luxury vehicles do, but that isn’t enough click bait for him I guess...

I like Tyler Hoover. He’s the one with the 248k mile 996. I think his vehicles, and the fact he actually does stuff with them, entertaining. Doug gets to test drive cool vehicles, but there’s nothing more than that. They’re fluff pieces at best. You can only write so many “This is why ___ is worth ___” or “Autotrader Finds” before I lose interest.

I would be quite happy if Hoover came to the Jalopnik family. His articles about his time in the used car dealerships industry are entertaining, and his vehicles are weird. I think he’d fit right in.
