Hi oppo. I have some ridiculous things planned for the oppo rally, which involve sticking things to my daily driver. Whats the best way to attach something securely that wont rekt my paint?
I’m thinking these things
If i have to use a little rubbing alcohol to get it off that’d be ok, but as little permanent damage as possible is key.

Good thing you’re not using these on a Lemons car. A couple packs of them and you’d be over the $500 limit. (Srsly, they’re great, but buy the bigger packs on Amazon to save a little)

I think the key is to make sure you wax it before you put anything on so it’s not directly on your paint.

What about blue painter’s tape on the surface, then strong duct tape on top of that?

Those come off stuff completely residue free in my experience and don’t damage wall paint yet they stick like duct tape. I think that’s your best bet.

Exterior on car? I don’t think they stand up to heat very well.

3M emblem tape doesn’t damage paint, and Goo Gone makes easy work of any adhesive residue.
I woudn’t trust a Command Strip on a car’s exterior. Expensive too.
