There’s a 30-something volume of CDs called Ethiopiques and I’m convinced has the most amazing music scene ever.

Yeah, I think Ethiopian music, like a lot of world music, has finally gotten recognized outside of Africa. Some of it is really amazing. This has one of the most beautiful guitar solos I’ve ever heard.

This is a great collection. This song is from Mali.
