From now on I’m going to refer to my engine as a “big bore V6"
And no my suspension hasn’t collapsed. My driveway is just stupid.

Wow, I can’t believe I didn’t think of this (or see it) sooner. BIGBORE is a great license plate for the Odyssey. iVTEC and Ambien just kicked in, yo!

AMBIEN is also a good license plate.

Your suspension collapsed your driveway into stupid?

You don’t know bore until you got a 351CID or 478 V6.
Good ol’ GMC. 254HP and 442LBft of torque with a 5.125" bore on the 478.

Also, a grain of truth: 3.5" isn’t *tiny*. It’s the same as the original Rover V8, and less than 10% smaller than a smaller range Ford or Chevy smallblock.

No Patrick. Mayonnaise is not a muscle car.

3.0

It is my dream to build a Twin Six with some of the bigger V6 parts, for maximum displaceables. 702ci is NOT ENOUGH.
![]() 04/27/2017 at 12:27 |

Pretty sure that means it’s 3.1. It’s a Mustang, right? Or is is 2.9?

“Big bore V6" sounds more like it’d be in a Camry.

My dream is to put a 702 in a ‘48 Buick, EFI+ITBs, LS1 style ignition, 6L80 trans, widened steel wheels and stock hubcaps. Go for a 5000-5500RPM redline instead of 2500. Basically keep the outside of the car and most of the cabin looking totally stock while the underside has been warmed with a mix of modern and old school. Then go bomb some highways. In Germany. Like it’s 1944.

My thoughts for a ‘51 Buick up until now have tended to be “build Offenhauser 4L clone, RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE”. A 702 would work, though.

I just discovered someone did make a Buick V12 out of two V8s.
And my is it basically what I described.

Although, I should point out that the proper number of cylinders in a line in a Buick *is* eight. So, V16. Clearly.

Like this Rover/buick based one?
