Somewhat unrelated, I’ve been trail running a lot lately and I feel like I’m seeing a growing number of mountain bikers with no helmets. I can’t even imagine thinking that’s a good idea.

I don’t even commute with a bicycle without a helmet. I did crash once and the helmet proved to be useful as I hit my head twice against the tarmac.
Riding a scooter in a foreign country without a helmet is pretty stupid, especially as she even acknowledged herself that she should have one.
