Saw it on Craigslist. I just don’t get it.

My poop is also one-of-a-kind.

I’ll say it: It’s well done. But still awful.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it looks significantly worse in person.

This is a Mustang. Why do this?
Hide as a grandpa’s car, so there would be bigger unsuspecting crowds for maximum kills.
...I’ll see myself out.

So, it’s actually better than a Bentley at a fraction of the cost, and he’s selling it for half what it cost to build because he’s bored with it. Seems legit.

For $55k, why buy a kit car when you can buy an actual Bentley instead?

After the crash, everyone laughed and started calling his car the Bentstang. “I’ll show them a ‘Bentstang’”, he muttered...

I have no idea why people do this. Is it to impress/fool themselves to make themselves feel better/superior/important? Is it actually to fool others into thinking they’re wealthy and whatnot? I just don’t get it and I have so many questions that dig way too deep into people who do this.

“Those old [Continental GTs] also have outdated looking headlights and taillights.”
...you mean the same headlights as on your kit?

I think it might have a harder time getting over the curbs than stock Mustangs though, so the crowds might be safer overall.

Wait so it cost almost 100k to build, erm you can buy a used Bentley Continental for much less than that surely?
Also this needs to be crushed, I hate shit like this!

When I see something like this, I always ask myself: why put so much time, energy, and money in a car to make it look like something else if you can make it your own personal custom car

For the cost of the car and the kit, couldn’t he have bought a used CGT?

Because they wanted to beat Ford / Lincoln from doing it first.

at least it has a V8
was expecting V6

Looks better than the Chrysler 300 Bentley wannabes.

For almost $100,000 you could’ve bought a very nice Conti GT.

Did you not read the listing? Bentleys are unreliable, that’s why he did it!! It makes so much more sense when viewed that way!! /s

Ahhh I see, so he wants a Bentley but he didn’t WANT a Bentley, gotcha!

“This one-of-a-kind car cost almost $100,000 to build” wut, wait nevermind it has Florida plates... that explains everything.

So that it can hunt innocent bystanders under disguise?
Another possible relevant post would be: “This is a Bentley Continental GT. Why do this?”

I honestly think it looks pretty cool...let the hating begin.

Here is what I don’t get...how much money was sunk into that kit, when its not like continental GT’s are that expensive used these days.

I mean...Just buy a real one.

“If you want a car that is fun to drive and reliable that people will want to take pictures of you in and not laugh at you then this is the car for you.”
...uh huh. Yeah. Sure.

In addition, custom work is not cheap. The only plus I see here is that if you just want the look, a Mustang is much more reliable than a Conti.

I don’t have any experience there, but that was savage!
![]() 04/27/2017 at 14:45 |

Reliability. Not that I would do this, but the Mustang won’t be spending 30% of its life in the shop!
![]() 04/27/2017 at 14:48 |

Or $60k for an older one and save the $40k for maintenance!

Why? Why post that?
![]() 04/27/2017 at 17:44 |
