What site is that?

camelcamelcamel.com
You can use it to look up historical Amazon prices and add price drop alerts.

Does this happen often or does it only really track once you tell it to?

I think depends on if others have searched for it. Most items I find they have historical data. Another site you can try is lightningdrops.com, but seems like they are less common than Camel.
