My allergies let me know about two days ago. My allergies have reminded me about two times since I started typing this response.

We’re almost done down here. It’s been a month of hell, but I think it’s almost safe to wax the car without the applicator turning into 1200-grit sandpaper. I just degreased the wife’s engine. Just pollen, no grease.

Both of my vehicles have a faint green haze all over them. Not as noticeable on the silver Taco, but plainly evident on the blue Honda.

So glad to not have a dark green car anymore. Now if only I had a chance to wash my car since August. It’s disgusting right now. My hands turn brown every time I close my trunk.

Now is actually a decent time to run the car through a touchless automatic car wash. Get all the pollen off and then finish with some quick detail spray at home, maybe a little spray wax. I thought about it yesterday but I always check the forecast before I wash my car and it’s supposed to rain tomorrow, Sunday and Monday so no point just yet.

Yes. My car is truly filthy right now. Being at school means I don’t have the stuff to wash it myself and I don’t want to pay for a wash which I wouldn’t trust not to eat my antenna.

I just ran the wife’s van through a soft-touch wash yesterday. I keep telling her those fast spinning gas station car washes are terrible, but some people just don’t believe it. They’re not any cheaper, either. But nothing beats a real sponge...which is why I procrastinate.

Most of the gas station washes here use high pressure water jets and no brushes, that’s what I was talking about.

A couple of them have “soft” rubber brushes and the one by my office has two bays, one with the jets and one with the rubber brushes.

The jets do an ok job but they don’t really fully get all the dirt off, like you can still see the outline of where your wipers sweep your windshield. But 5 minutes with quick detailer spray and a microfiber towel when you get home shines it right up.

High pollen periods are when I used my summer car shampoo, Gtechniq UVwash.

It’s anti-static qualities help keep pollen and dust at bay.

I always use my snow foam for washing to mitigate any paint damage.

Aren’t there any cheap brushless gas station car washes that only use high pressure water jets near you?

Ive never seen one of those in my life and I live in a busy metro. If those dont have undercarriage jets they are 100% useless to me as well.

I’d say about 90% of the gas station car washes around me are this style. The majority of them have an undercarriage option which is another set of jets at the entrance that hit the underside of your car as you drive in. Typically it’s like $6 for the basic wash and then there’s other options for $7, $8 and $10 that add additional steps like undercarriage, wheels, foaming polish, etc.

There might be but I will be back home in 3 weeks and am currently commuting along a dirt road basically every day so whatever.

It’s horrible here. And there’s so many trees in the parking lot where I work. I wish they had an actual garage complex at work.

And whoever said white cars hide dirt was a filthy liar. It looks absolutely filthy! There’s no hiding like a silver car.

Mark Walburgs performance is the best part of that movie. Which says a lot about the rest of the movie
