So boring! How? How did they do that? Please, tell me!

What got stuck in my head is

they changed the tire dimensions

it is as easy to drive as a Volkswagen Golf

it accelerates well

Honestly the Chiron itself is boring. It shouldn’t have been Veyron II, but something different like a four door 250mph or a sub 1000kg supercar.

The Chiron was VW playing it safe which is fine when you’re talking about Corollas and Golfs but stupid in $1M+ hypercars

And it is the renunciation from what they did with the Veyron. I think they should have gone hybrid at least.

But may be the Chiron need to regain the money they lost with the Veyron.

Well in fairness, what else is there to say about a car whose only interesting characteristic is that it has a high top speed when you aren’t allowed to demonstrate that high top speed.

Yeah, Autocar really need a proper replacement for Steve Sutcliffe. Hopefully Dan Prosser will be just that.

Probably lol. It’s just a shame that a company that had such as strong legacy and made such a strong first impression couldn’t figure out how to follow-up.

Whilst I see the Chiron as an amazing engineering achievement I agree that the way it was shown in this review didn’t do it any favors. The reviewer seemed bored.

Eight headlights, sure why not.

But while it can seem like he made the review sound boring, keep in mind some other car magazines try too hard and go overboard. (like overboard to the point where the reviewer can’t even complete their sentences, we get it its fast)
