What kind of idea is a 90k xc70 3.0t
Bad. Good. Either way
Also, minor vibration on the freeway... Normal older car issue or concerning with awd Volvo?
Good price, very clean

No. I also test drove this... And she liked it (my wife... Not the car... Cars can’t like things)
Reading up on this vibration issue has me bothered. It’s not uncommon and it seems to be a mystery issue that only gets more expensive the longer you chase it.

probably the viscous couple, might be a cheap fix, but many mechanics will claim ignorance of it. The oil CAN be replaced, might solve it.

It should be haldex on this year, right?

they’re all Haldex, just a mater of what version. If its not the VC, then you start looking at unbalanced drive shafts (my ‘98 had that) angle drive bearings/gears and rear difs, in that order. The last two get pricy, but also make sure its not a wheel bearing/axle/tire. Quick check is to remove the driveshaft, if the vibe goes away its in the AWD somewhere, if its still there check axles, bearings and tires. It’s not too bad a prospect if the price is right. Super comfy, nice engine (kinda shitty fuel economy though), very usable interior.

hmmm, that’s a tough one. Can you get the dealer to address the vibe?

No transverse 6-cylinder Volvo is ever a good idea. It should also be smooth as butter on the freeway, something is amiss.
