How’s the blinker fluid?

Clean the spark arrestor in the muffler.

What about the muffler bearing? Check with Chris Fix.

Muffler bearing was replaced with zero friction greasless bearing

Too rich. Possibly too lean, but the bog leads me to the former.

Thats what I think, but I can’t adjust the mix on this carb.

This is not helpful, but this is why I will always buy battery-powered lawncare tools

I think mixture issues as well, but this is also pinched fuel line or clogged air filter typical. Could you have sloshed the air filter with gas at any point? Have you tried running it without the air filter?

Aftermarket carb? Any peculiarities with the fuel hose?

Adjust the throttle cable length if there is no carb adjustment. Lengthen it should resolve rich.

This is a long shot but it happened to me... maybe gas cap? Did you try running with the gas cap off? Mine has a small vent line in the cap that got clogged and a new cap fixed it, but for the me the issue was that it wouldn’t idle but would run if I just held down the throttle.

are you supposed to use a specific grade of gas? does it still do that if you let it idle for 5 minutes when its nice and hot?

gas has never mattered to it before and yes it still does it after a long soak (as in the video, it had been idling for about 10 minutes)

I normally just dilute the gas with water if it is running rich.

My echo trimmer ran like crap after I replaced the fuel line assembly, turns out I crossed the feed and vent lines (they’re pretty much identical). Maybe somthing going on there? Also some carb cleaner can’t hurt.

I checked the lines, they should be right... Maybe. Turns out carb cleaner can hurt cause I can’t get it to start yet at all now (pulled it apart and cleaned it yesterday)
