My friends always give me shit because I let my steaks get to room temp before grilling them. Dipshits don’t realize the steaks tense up when they go from something cold to hot right away. Make sure you let them rest for a good couple minutes before you cut into them also.

Yep. I heard this is the way to do it, so I’m trying it out. Can’t hurt. Also gives me some time to throw one or two back and get my head ready to grill. I don’t smoke, but I enjoy a good tasting beer. I’m ready to relax.

Also season them at least an hour before they’re cooked; the salt breaks down the muscle structure of the surface of the steak and draws the excess water out as it works its way in, which give the meat a sharper flavor.

I usually do so 10-15 prior, so this time I’ll let 3 set out like that.

I will likely post a pile of medium well done steaks in about an hour or so.

Tonight is Kahlua Pork and Cabbage. It’s been slowly cooking all day at home. I’m going to have some fresh pineapple with it. I’ll be saving the pineapple juice for making mimosas in the morning.

Living right.

Oh, okay. I’m with you now.

I had this in mind.

and wondered how it was possible to make juice out of pasta.

Easy. Freeze it, then shave the block

Screw mimosas, make some Pina Coladas!
