I’m guessing the engine mounts suddenly broke with upwards of 1,000 lb-ft of torque twisting the engine.

it looks like the skirt/bottom end just separated cleanly above the crankshaft. betcha the mains girdle, crankshaft, rods and pistons are still in the truck.

you can see the cylinders as the engine lands upside down, I’m pretty sure the block fractured above the crankshaft. the crank, block skirt, mains, rods and pistons probably stayed in the truck.
