Did it make it to the ice of did someone in the front get a catfish to the head?

There were 5 catfish on the ice after Carrie Underwood sang and before the Game began. I believe this one made it.

OK, but... Why?

When Nashville joined the NHL we were in the same division as the Detroit Red Wings who have thrown Octopus on the ice for nearly a hundred year I believe. Well, since we played the Red Wingsand kind of immolated them as the model team(when they were winning Stanley Cups in the late 90s through 2000s) someone started the catfish as a counter-tradition since Catfish is generally a southern thing. Basically Detroit was a big brother and Nashville created their own thing out of it.

If they meet in the semi finals (its possible) Ontario is going to implode.

As a hockey fan I hope it happens. Long way to get there though -

The battle of ontario is already a good game, in the semi’s of the play offs it be crazy. I be fine with Ontario vs. Quebec too in the semi’s.

The crazier the better! ! I love watching series like that because it’s fun, but also stress free for me. Unlike the Hawks.

I have always wondered; how do you get the catfish, or octopus as the case may be, into the arena? Do you carry it in a cooler? Do you have to sneak it in?

I’ve heard stre it in the pant leg, and waistline but there have been entire news articles based on just sneaking catfish into games.
