Because this guy has no taste.
I understand why the cars look that way, but I don’t condone it.
Also, he says some kinda stupid stuff.

I didn’t watch it because it’s not worth my time, however I will tell you why they’re tasteless garbage and the guy is spewing stupid shit in one word:
“Hollywood”

I’ve always hated that R-34, it looks so terrible to me. The Supra is just as bad.

They’re supposed to be visually loud so they’re memorable, but they’re ugly and ruin the underlying car.

But like all Hollywood cars, they are modified entirely for looks. The people that mod them aren’t car people, either - they’re prop people. The cars are props, functionality isn’t even considered.

That’s not entirely true, they’re almost all 350 SBCs w/ TH400s.

Terrible in the cosmetic department? :P we can’t aim all the fire at him. Justin Lin is the director.
Also, there is some compromises when it comes to hollywood studios and car makers signing off on what will happen & how their car(s) is represented in these regards. And I guess we can include actors/actresses inputs to that list as well now.

He didn’t mention it though, did he?
