It was going so well until he casually threw out the word “torques” like it was a thing that mattered except in the context of work. People (myself included in the past) get confused about the relationship between hp and lbs ft by people insisting that there is horsepower and there is torque and you want one for speed and one for work. No, the work done by an engine in reference to it’s rotational speed (not it’s top speed...what was that all about?) is everything, and that unit is called hp. Saying “no it doesn’t have a lot of power but look at all the torque!” is stupid. All that’s saying is, “this engine does a lot of work without spinning fast”
