Yep. Even though its officially April 17th, that’s a Monday and no one likes Monday’s. So it’s being celebrated here at Ford WHQ today. My dad and I went.

Grabber Blue has become more popular than I imagined....

Lookit all these generations of Mustangs together.

I finally found an example of the car my grandpa had: A ‘63.5 Galaxie Fastback

Now we’re off to see a private collection of cars. I’m so happy I was able to get my dad to take the morning off work for this.

That Mercury Capri, so nice, I almost bought one of those with 4cyl and T-Tops as my 1st car, but it was an automatic and I wanted a stick shift. I ended up with a Nissan Pulsar stick instead.

I see from the fender badge that the Galaxie is a Thunderbird Package of some kind, but is it a 352, a 390, or a 406? Also can’t tell if 500 or 500XL, though obviously I would think XL.

I didn’t know it was mustang day, I saw a Dark Red ‘17 GT at Tesco today. Definitely seeing a few more around in the UK now they are available in RHD.

What in the world?

Okay, so we got a ’94-98 body, with taillights that say ’94-’95. But Ford didn’t build Mach 1s back then... (even though that looks like a Mach 1 hood scoop & wheels)

V6 model fender badge, but that’s probably a red herring. I spy with my little eye Cobra brakes, and it looks lowered, too. Aftermarket tach, seats, headlights...
